It’s been a couple of seasons in the making, now the club has finally put the elder statesmen out of their misery!
Players old and new have joined our Over 35s Team that will be competing in the Tameside League for the 2026/27 season.
In their first Friendly of preseason, they took on Love of Lacey Vets. In an entertaining game, the old bods were on the wrong side of an 8-goal thrill (5-3 loss). However, it was good to get some minutes in the tank with new players at the club: Delarmi, Wadsworth and Robert W all featuring.
Wadsworth picked up the MotM award for a commanding display at the back, Robert W grabbed a goal on his debut and A. Simpson showed he’s still got some magic in that left foot of his with his curling free-kick from the edge of the area.
