OTA CAST SPELL ON WIZARDS…

OTA Firsts edged an end-to-end game during Matchday 2 of the RVL Shield.

With chances galore at both ends, the scoreline could and have have been very different, but both sides were wasteful in front of goal.

Playing his first game for many months, Brady was on hand to rifle in from the edge of the box after 12 minutes. A long throw caused the opposition defence problems and Trialist (SK) inadvertent layoff fell to the full back to put the Otters 1-0 ahead.

With 36 minutes gone, Murphy’s cool pirouette and burst through two defenders saw him play a perfect through ball which C. Simpson tucked past the onrushing ‘keeper.

In the 2nd half, both teams continued to create chances and it looked like stand-in goalie, Eme would keep a ell-earned clean sheet. However, Infinity Wizards scored a well worked goal, which was no less than they deserved.

Munhenga picked up the MOTM award.
