Q: Here we are then, with the main man – How does it feel to be made Club Captain?
A: Privileged, honoured, happy, buzzing really. Leading the troops into battle for another year as an absolute veteran – My knees are feeling it too, but we keep going!
Q: Off the back of that – How does it feel to have the backing of the Management Team and your peers?
A: Yeah, it feels good! Football is a confidence game. I feel like if you feel valued, it shows on the pitch. Knowing that I’ve the backing of my teammates and management, will hopefully show in my performances.

Q: What are your hopes for the season?
A: Obviously, go one (or 3 better) better. We’ve got to win the league or at least, we need a trophy – Arsenal tackle! We need a trophy this season. Whatever it may be, we need one, just like Arsenal haha!
Q: During your time at OTA, is there one moment that stands out above the others?
A: The one moment that stands out whilst playing for OTA I’d say is our first season in the MASFL Prem. I think we did well and showed a good version of ourselves. I’m not sure many expected us to do as well as we did (coming 4th). It was a massive kick on from what we did in the seasons prior.

Q: Who is OTA’s standout player, in your opinion?
A: For me, our standout player is Mai and I think that’s due to his progression. In his first season, we wasn’t sure – Was he a midfielder or was he a defender? But in the last two seasons, hes absolutely a different player – He can play, he’s good with the ball at his feet, he’s strong, he’s powerful, he’s good in the air – It’s been an absolute massive transformation from his first season. When he doesn’t play, it shows and when he’s on it, he’s unstoppable – Big up, Mai!!
Q: What does OTA mean to you?
A: I love it, I love the camaraderie, I love the team, I love the group – All the lads are sound. Management, Chairman, everyone, there’s a good buzz. It’s a good feeling to still be going out on a Sunday, playing. It’s the highlight of the week, right at the end of the week. It’s the highlight every week, every week, it’s all I think about, in my head I’m thinking ” I can’t wait for the game, next week!” I love it – Up the Otters! Brap!
Thanks for your time, Skipper!
