Several players made their first appearances for the Old Trafford Athletic First Team, but the boys were on the end of another narrow victory as they lost 3-2 to 3rd placed Manni Sports.
Some sloppy play at the back saw the boys go behind early on. Dusabe pulled one back after 16 minutes with a deft near post header. Another piece of poor decision making led to an opposition free-kick 25 yards out, which was expertly planted into the top right-hand corner (Think Declan Rice’s 2nd goal v Real Madrid).
The lads created several good chances which were saved by the opposition ‘keeper and were punished by conceding a 3rd goal early in the 2nd half. Player of the Match, Gardner got a deserved goal after his forceful run down the right and shot was deflected in. OTA piled on the pressure in the closing stages, but couldn’t find the equaliser.
